The Golden Triangle

The Golden Triangle

Enjoy a taste of India on this spectacular tour to the most famous sights in the subcontinent. Your journey takes you to India’s 'Golden Triangle', beginning from the vibrant capital of New Delhi.

From here you travel to Agra globally renowned as the home to one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal. The architectural splendour of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces is a vivid reminder of the opulence of the legendary Mughal Empire, of which Agra was the capital in the 16th and early 17th centuries.

Described by the Indian classical poet Tagore as a 'tear on the face of eternity', the Taj Mahal is undoubtedly the zenith of Moghul architecture and quite simply one of the world's most marvellous buildings.

Visit Fatehpur Sikri then venture forth to the meticulously planned city of Jaipur, the brainchild of Maharaja Jai Singh, an 18th century ruler of the Kachhawaha clan.

Displaying remarkable harmony, the heart of the pink city still beats in its fairy tale palaces, rugged fortresses perched on hills. The only planned city of its time, Jaipur is encircled by a formidable wall.
